FLEX: Instructional Practices - Mindsets in the Classroom

What if you could rewire your brain and train it to facilitate your own success? According to Carol Dweck’s research on Mindsets, you can do just that! In this session, The participant will study the definitions of Growth and Fixed Mindsets as defined by Carol Dweck, author of Mindsets; explore how a particular mindset impacts the brain and what it means for students and us; examine how mindsets work and why they impact us as learners; consider how mindsets work can be embedded in our classrooms and our school culture. (FLEX sessions are self-paced and personalized to meet the needs of each participant. Stations on a variety of topics will be available. Participants can move between stations to fit their own professional learning needs. Please bring your own device and a pair of headphones/earbuds to fully participate.
