PBIS and Restorative Practices are both evidence-based practices to improve school climate and safety. Research shows when each is used student conduct, attitude, and academic achievement improve, but consider what happens when both practices are used to support the other. Trusting student-teacher-parent relationships, less time out of the classroom, fewer class disruptions, improved conflict resolution, and an overall safer and positive school climate. Come hear the story of one school’s journey of implementing both PBIS and Restorative Practices.
